Abstract

It demonstrates that the Qur’an presents a comprehensive vision of divine guidance that elevates human life across time and place, offering a holistic framework that leads to happiness, uprightness, and harmony with human nature. The research shows that the principles of Qur’anic guidance extend to all dimensions of human existence, including the political domain, where the Qur’an serves as a moral and legal foundation for justice, freedom, consultation (shūrā), and the preservation of the community’s welfare. The study analyzes the Qur’anic concept of guidance as an integrated system directing humanity towards the constructive cultivation of the earth in accordance with the objectives (maqāṣid) of the Sharī‘ah. It highlights a political model built upon divine legitimacy, ethical responsibility, and the centrality of the human being as God’s vicegerent on earth. The political system inspired by the Qur’an is shown to rest upon essential principles such as dignity, justice, peaceful transfer of power, consultation, accountability of rulers, and the pursuit of the public good. Furthermore, the research clarifies that the Qur’anic worldview forms an organic relationship with political organization; the Qur’an provides a vision of the universe, the human being, and life that directly shapes the functions and structure of the state. Instead of offering a rigid state model, the Qur’an lays down universal, flexible principles that can be applied across eras, making the Islamic political system a civilizational and purpose-based system capable of adaptation and confronting contemporary challenges. The study concludes that grounding political thought in the Qur’an rebuilds the political consciousness of the Muslim community on divine foundations and enables it to overcome modern crises by returning to foundational principles that combine stability with adaptability, spirituality with law, and values with practice. It affirms that the Qur’an provides an integrated civilizational vision that can render the Islamic political order more just, effective, and stable when its objectives are implemented with sound understanding and contextual awareness.
