Objectives of Civilizational Development in Light of the Interpretation of Quranic Stories and Their Contemporary Applications - مقاصدُ البناءِ الحضاريِّ في ضوء تفسيرِ القصصِ القرآنيِّ وتطبيقاتِه المعاصرة

Abstract

This study explores the concept of the civilizational interpretation of the Qur’an as a reformist approach to understanding Qur’anic texts in light of divine social laws and higher objectives (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah), highlighting its role in the civilizational reconstruction of the Muslim ummah. The research stems from the contemporary need for an interpretation that addresses modern human challenges and connects Qur’anic revelation with lived realities by uncovering divine laws (sunan) within history and society. Employing analytical, and inductive, the study examines prominent Qur’anic narratives—such as those of Moses, Joseph, and Dhul-Qarnayn (peace be upon them)—to identify their civilizational components within the framework of vicegerency (istikhlāf), development (‘umrān), and empowerment (tamkīn). The study concludes that the civilizational approach activates the Qur’an’s developmental function and is deeply intertwined with shaping societal awareness and formulating a comprehensive revival project that integrates spiritual, ethical, material, and institutional dimensions.

يتناول هذا البحث نماذجَ في مقاصدِ البناءِ الحضاريِّ في ضوءِ تفسيرِ القصصِ القرآنيِّ وتطبيقاته المعاصرة بوصفه مدخلاً تجديدياً لفهمِ النصوص القرآنية في ضوءِ السنن الاجتماعية والمقاصد الشرعية، وبيان دوره في إعادةِ بناءِ الأمة حضارياً. وينطلق البحث من الحاجة المعاصرة إلى تفسيرٍ مقاصديٍّ يعالجُ مشكلاتِ الإنسان الحديث؛ ويربطُ النص القرآنيَّ بالواقع المعيش من خلال استقراء السنن الإلهية في التاريخ والمجتمع. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج التحليلي الاستقرائي؛ من خلال استقراء نماذجَ في القصصِ القرآني، قصةَ موسى، ويوسف، وذي القرنين، عليهم السلام، وتحليل مكوناتها الحضارية في ضوء مقاصد الاستخلاف والعمران والتمكين، وتوصلَ البحثُ إلى أن التفسيرَ الحضاريَّ لمقاصدِ القصة القرآنية يتيحُ بناءَ وعيٍ مجتمعيٍّ إسلامي وصياغةَ مشروعٍ نهضوي شاملٍ يدمج بين البعد الروحي والقيمي والبناء المادي والمؤسسي للمجتمع.
